What this site collects, where it goes, and how long it stays. Short, because the site collects very little.

The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. If you never fill in a form, nothing about you is collected beyond the ordinary server logs any website produces.

What is collected, and only when you send it

The enquiry form asks for your first and last name, work email, company, job title, country, which frameworks you are dealing with, any deadline, and whatever you write in the notes field. Name, email and company are required; the rest are optional and exist so the first reply can be useful rather than a request for more information.

The form also contains one field that is hidden from you and from screen readers. It is a spam trap: a person never sees it, and anything typed into it is discarded. It collects nothing about you.

If a client area account is created for you, that stores your email address and a password you choose. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider named below and are never visible to Obilant.

What happens to it

An enquiry is delivered to [email protected] as an email. It is not stored in a database. The only thing written to storage is a counter used to rate-limit the form, keyed on your IP address and deleted automatically after about an hour.

Your information is used to answer you and, if you become a client, to do your work. It is never sold, never rented, and never shared with anyone outside the providers listed below.

Cookies and browser storage

There are no cookies. Two pieces of information are stored by your own browser and never transmitted anywhere:

  • Your sign-in session, in local storage, so you stay signed in to the client area. Signing out removes it.
  • A flag noting you have seen the homepage introduction, in session storage, so the animation does not replay on every page. It disappears when you close the tab.

Neither is used to identify you, profile you, or follow you anywhere. Because both are first-party and necessary to a function you asked for, there is no consent banner — and adding one would suggest tracking that is not happening.

Who else handles it

Obilant is one person, so parts of the service run on providers. Each is used for one job:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and the code that receives the form. Produces standard request logs including IP addresses.
  • Resend — delivers the enquiry to my inbox.
  • Google Workspace — the inbox that receives it.
  • Supabase — client area accounts and sign-in, where one has been created for you.
  • Stripe — payments, for clients. Card details go to Stripe directly and Obilant never sees them.

How long it is kept

Enquiries stay in my email until they are no longer useful; ask and they are deleted. Client work is kept for the engagement and, on request at the end of it, returned and deleted except where a record has to be retained. Rate-limit counters expire in about an hour.

What you can ask for

Write to [email protected] and ask what is held about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. There is no form and no process to navigate — it reaches one person. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; they are offered here regardless of whether you do.

If you have received email from Obilant and would rather not, reply saying so and the address is removed. Nothing further is sent.

Transfers, children, and changes

The providers above operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside your country. This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

If this notice changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
